From this part of Jacob's story, Jill (with help from the Pierrepont team who also get the microphone during this talk!) unpacks some incredible points about the call of God on our lives and how God will often fulfil His purposes despite our character flaws.
Jill also points out how careful we must be with our words. Jacob spoke a curse of death over whoever had stolen Laban's household Gods, without realising that he was actually cursing Rachel, the wife he loved so dearly. A few chapters later, Rachel died whilst giving birth to Benjamin.
Every Friday morning at Pierrepont (Home of NETS) we come together as a community to worship together, take communion and to feed on the word of God. Here you can listen to these Friday Sermons and discover what God is doing among us.
