In part three of Jill's series on the story Jacob, the Pierrepont drama team emerges once again. Though we don't have a video, you may hear the actors a few times (and definitely some laughter!) as Jill runs through the rather unusual wedding scene that takes place at this point in Jacob's life!

Here we see more deception as Jacob works 7 years for Rachel and ends up with Leah. Jacob is reaping the deception that he sowed earlier. Amazingly, Jacob's disobedience does not de-rail God's call on his life. Romans 11:29 "God's gift and His call are irrevocable". When God said the older son will serve the younger, He was going to do it whether Jacob cheated his way through the process or not. God's call and destiny on Jacob's life remained the same, despite his many character flaws.

While all this is going on, we can see God moulding and shaping this man Jacob. God seems to be very patient with Jacob and regardless of what things looked like in the early stages, God always kept His promise. In the next installment we will see what happens when Jacob tries to escape his Uncle Laban with both daughters and all that he has amassed in his time there.
