At the beginning of this sermon, Jill challenges Pierrepont staff, NETS trainees and everybody listening online with this poignant question: "Are we going to work for God or with God this year?".

Speaking from Exodus 33, Jill shares how we need to have the same attitude as Moses who said to the Lord "If your presence doe not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?" (verses 15-16).

We live in a generation that communicates by text, email, skype etc. - are we losing the ability to communicate face to face? Would we rather send God a quick text message or are we willing to take the time to communicate with Him intimately, seek His face and know His intimate presence?

God wants to develop the character of His Son Jesus in our lives and is always wanting to take us to a new level. This means knowing Him, knowing His Word, and walking according to His ways - to become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13).
