If we are building the walls of God's Kingdom, opposition will surely come. What are we supposed to do when it comes? Should we stop building the wall to reason with our enemies, or should we ignore them and carry on? Nehemiah knew what it was to face opposition. Time and time again Sanballat & Tobiah (his enemies) attempted to distract him from the task in hand. From open letters accusing him of rebelling against the King, to false prophecies that required careful discernment, Nehemiah had to be on guard at all times.
Listen as Jill gives us practical advice from the story of Nehemiah about what to do when opposition is on our doorstep. Learn how to be like Nehemiah, a wise man who knew the call of God on His life and did not waver though his powerful adversaries were many.
This talk is part of a series on the book of Nehemiah - look out for the other parts!
Every Friday morning at Pierrepont (Home of NETS) we come together as a community to worship together, take communion and to feed on the word of God. Here you can listen to these Friday Sermons and discover what God is doing among us.
